Determined to capture the mid range market, Sony Ericsson has a lineup of phones set to be released later this year. Of these phones, one of them is the SonyT707 Elle. This phone is also known colloquially as Elle. The phone is not part of the extremely popular Walkman series and so is not specially designed for music playback. This phone just offers basic features expected in a mid range phone. A walkman phone with all these features was released earlier in the year at a higher price.
An advantage of this device is its weight which is low at only 98 g. This makes it easy to carry around and portable. The phone comes with a 2.2 inch display with QVGA resolution. There is an even smaller round display on the outside of the phone. This phone model will be released in 5 colors namely green, orange, black, blue and pink-violet.
The T707 Elle has fair connectivity options such as quad band GSM. This makes roaming even easier and more efficient .The user can also connect to the internet using HSDPA 2100 connectivity allowing the user to access their email, browse web pages, etc. The phone comes with an inbuilt Bluetooth chip with A2DP software allowing quick easy close range data transfer.
The phone’s memory can be extended using the memory card slot. An M2 memory card can be used. The phone comes with a 1 GB memory card. Details of the onboard memory are not known now.
The Sony Ericsson T707 Elle comes with a 3.2 MP fixed focus front camera.
One thing that makes the device interesting is the round display on the outside of the phone. This looks pretty strange and will definitely attract a second look. The full function of this display is not known at this point.
One disadvantage of the phone is its display which can seem a bit cramped.

Samsung S5600
Determined to dominate the mid range market, Samsung has scheduled to release a lineup of phones later this year. One such phone is the Samsung S5600. Even though the phone looks plain in its standard block form factor, it is strong and will last for a long time without breaking. The body of the phone is made of high quality plastic. The display of the phone is a 2.8 inch TFT display with QVGA resolution. The screen is a touch screen with the latest Touch Wiz User Interface.
The phone comes with an internal memory of 80 MB which can be expanded using the MicroSD card slot to a maximum of 16 GB. The phone does not include a keypad and instead can be operated using the touch screen. The screen is user friendly and easy to manipulate.
The Samsung S5600has decent connectivity options. These include the GPRS and EDGE both class 12, and HSDPA. The phone also has the Bluetooth 2.1 version along with the Bluetooth chip allowing fast and easy transfer of information. The phone also allows the user to gain access to a Wi-Fi network allowing even faster speeds and easy connectivity. This allows the user to check their email, read web pages etc easily.

Nokia 5330 XpressMusic
Out of the new phones nokia has lined up to be released later this year, the Nokia 5330 XpressMusic definitely stands out. The phone has a fancy “top sliced off” appearance which will definitely attract a second look. The phone also comes with nice illuminating effects making it even more interesting. There are 2 color combos the phone comes in-an urban red and black, and a more metallic silver and blue. The special touch music keys allow even easier access to the music collection. The user can play, forward, rewind etc easily. The phone is a slider phone and need not be transferred from one hand to another when operating it. The Nokia 5330 XpressMusic features a large 2.4 inch display with a 240 x 320 pixel QVGA resolution. This TFT display allows up to 16 million colors.
The phone has a flash memory of 64 MB and RAM of 32 MB built in. This memory can be extended using the microSD card slot. The battery allows music playback time up to 26 hours, talk time 7 hours and standby time to a maximum of 389 hours.
The phone has a wide range of connectivity options including quad band GSM and WCDMA. The phone also supports GPRS and has a Bluetooth chip built in. This allows data to be easily transferred. The micro USB port with USB 2.0 allows the user to carry out fast and easy data transfer by connecting the phone to a computer.
As this phone is primarily a music phone, the Nokia 5330 XpressMusiccomes with the S40 enhanced Music Player which allows the user to play a wide variety of audio and video formats. With the Nokia AV 3.5 mm connector, the user can use a wide variety of headphones.

Blackberry 9300 Gemini
After experiencing immense success from the models it introduced over the past few years Blackberry is getting ready for another project; the Blackberry 9300 Gemini. Blackberry 9300 is the working model number it’s assigned and this is expected to be almost a successor for the Blackberry’s 8900 Curve. This new model is expected to be of 3G as all of Blackberry’s previous models which carried the model number that started with a number 9 did so. We expect 9300 will live up to this tradition.
Blackberry has not yet released any information as to when they’re planning on releasing it or any detailed information on the specs. However the little we know suggests that the screen will be somewhat bigger than the 8900 with the resolution also better. CPU will also be a more powerful one although we still do not exactly know what the processing capacity is. We certainly hope it would be something better than the 624MHz processor in the Blackberry Bold. However Blackberry always live up to its expectations so you can expect the best!
There are only slight differences with regard to appearance between this and the 8900; such as the housing being silver and some modifications to the keys, giving them a more round shape. There will be quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE and tri-band UMTS/HSDPA. Blackberry has not yet revealed any release date information and it will not be introduced for a long time since Blackberry is still busy replacing some of its other models such as the Curve. LG GC900 Viewty2
One of the latest camera phones to be released this year is the GC900 Viewty Smart. The handset looks good in a simple style and a 3 inch display screen which is wide and clear. The screen also functions as a touch screen. The display is wide enough to navigate through menus easily. The reason why LG launched this phone is to capture some of the market for top of the range camera phones.
The phone has a small onboard memory which fortunately can be expanded up to a whopping 32 GB using the microSD memory card slot on the side. This allows the user to have a large music video collection which makes the phone even more attractive.
Connectivity options are good with HSDPA 7.2 and Wi-Fi. HSDPA allows speeds up to 7.2 Mbps. The LG GC900 Viewty Smart also comes with a Bluetooth chip allowing easy and quick data transfer when required, eliminating the use of a cable which would be otherwise required.
The phone comes equipped with the high quality Schneider-Kreuznach lens. The autofocus camera has a resolution of 8 MP with a xenon flash. Samsung S5230

The keypad of the 5030 XpressRadio is pretty basic with the standard numeric keypad. But the phone also comes equipped with special keys for easy FM and channel access and selection. The nok has a 64MB internal memory. The battery has a long life allowing a 10 hour talk time and 524 hours standby time.FM radio can be played continuously up to 24 hours.
The unique FM radio of the Nokia 5030 XpressRadio makes it stand out. The phone belongs to a new generation of radio phones with an internal FM antenna.
