Care for a Nokia netbook? Watch out for the Nokia Booklet 3G

Nokia Booklet 3GRumours were already floating about the Nokia Booklet 3G long before its announcement and it did surprise us that Nokia, the leader in the mobile phone industry, decided to venture in a new market but, considering how much surplus funds Nokia must be having, they must’ve decided that they have nothing to lose and that it might be a step in the right direction.

Nokia had announced the Nokia Booklet 3G via Nokia Conversations in August and, during the Nokia World 2009 in September, they had released detailed specifications of the netbook. As you know, we only deal in the business of reviewing phones and not netbooks but, considering the fact that it was Nokia who made this laptop and considering that there is a computer geek in all of us over here, we decided to check out whether the positive Nokia Booklet 3G Reviews are justified!

The Nokia Booklet 3G will be operating on the Intel Atom Z530 1.6 GHz processor. Other specifications include a 120 GB SATA hard disk, a 1GB DDR2 533 MHz RAM and a LCD display which is 10.1 inches long and has a resolution of 1280x720 pixels.

The other highlights of the phone include the 16 cell battery of the laptop which is supposed to have a battery life of 12 hours according to Nokia. If it does truly last this long, it will indeed be a very good reason for many people to buy this netbook. The netbook has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v2.1 + EDR and a 3G modem which is inbuilt in the laptop. It has a hot swappable SIM card, meaning that you don’t have to carry around a USB dongle. The operating system used in the netbook is the latest Microsoft Windows 7.

The booklet will come with a trial version of F-secure anti – virus and will retail for £520. You should get it cheaply on a data contract with mobile phone networks as there will be many varying Nokia Booklet 3G contracts floating about after its release.
