Nokia 5030 XpressRadio

nokia-5030-xpressradioOne of the latest low range phones scheduled to be released later this year is the Nokia 5030 XpressRadio. This phone though not a music phone, does support mp3 polyphonic ringtones. The phone will be released in 2 colors, an urban red one and a graphite one. The phone has a small 1.8 inch TFT display with a 128 x 160 pixel resolution. The phone display shows about 65000 colors.

The keypad of the 5030 XpressRadio is pretty basic with the standard numeric keypad. But the phone also comes equipped with special keys for easy FM and channel access and selection. The nok has a 64MB internal memory. The battery has a long life allowing a 10 hour talk time and 524 hours standby time.FM radio can be played continuously up to 24 hours.

The unique FM radio of the Nokia 5030 XpressRadio makes it stand out. The phone belongs to a new generation of radio phones with an internal FM antenna. This makes it much more appealing when compared to other phones where an external antenna has to be inserted for the phone to work. Now the user can access FM without the need of a pair of headphones. The phone has an FM transmitter allowing the user to transmit music like an FM radio station.

Other features in the Nokia 5030 include a useful torch which can be user easily by just pressing a single button on it. The phone also has a clock, calculator, a countdown timer, pre-paid tracker, a spreadsheet, a convertor etc. See the official page.

Considering all the features the nok can seem to be pretty basic. The advantage is that with a selling price of only $50 the phone is very affordable. The phone has its interesting additional features such and the inbuilt antenna not usually seen in a phone at the lower end of the price spectrum.
